Dad always loved green man day, partly because it was a good exuse to drink all day and not have anyone say anything about it. I remember one year, when I was 3/4 years old, he had arranged to shave all his hair off for charity. At the start of the day he let me spray dye it pink and green, which I personally think really suited him. People were paying to cut off a small section of his hair, by then end of it he raised just over £600 for the North Devon Hospice! I think this is the only time I ever seen him cut his hair!
